11th Dec 2024
My 2024 in 6 words:
1) Strength
2) Growth
3) Pioneering
4) Happy
5) Worth
6) Realisations
1) Strength
Despite all the challenges and hurdles that came my way this year, I showed up. I managed to keep my
word by being present on all the occasions when I had committed. Withdrawal is not a sign of
weakness, but making it happen against all odds is a sense of achievement.
2) Growth
I turned 35 in 2024 and a little matured too! 🤠The older version of Nilshree wouldn't have handled
things the way this new version has. She would rather make a fuss and end it on a bitter note. In
contrast, the newer version lets people be themselves and manages to be herself too. Letting go is
not an art I have mastered, but I initiated the process for my peace of mind, an achievement for me.
I am grateful to all those whom I met this year and came closer to, they indeed have been catalysts.
3) Pioneering
Life should be one daring adventure or nothing. Thankfully, I was in a position to experience
adventures.
2024 is the year of many firsts for me. I majorly prioritised reading this year, thankful to the
community who made me a part of them. Facilitated workshops, arranged the first offline event for my
venture, compiled and published my first poetry anthology, socialized more offline as compared to
online, and a few personal firsts as well.
I am still waiting for my first award though! (Pun Intended)
4) Happy
My son, my family, and a handful of friends are my only source of joy. I managed to be a fun-loving
friend and a strict mum in equal parts to him. We backed each other well when it came to family.
With friends, sharing reels and memes kept the mojo intact.
5) Worth
Letting my creative side play its role, craving for more, and celebrating what has been achieved,
have kept me content and hence happy throughout the year.
6) Realisations
I am a first-time mum and have only one child.
I do not hold a degree in literature.
I did not learn how to run a venture.
I only learn on the go.
Self-learning has now become a daily habit. I am thankful for a mind-set that I have developed over
the years, ever learning and evolving. I only realized this in 2024 and was surprised by my hidden
talent!
