Growing up, especially the time when I entered puberty, I was convinced, "A woman is a woman's worst
enemy". A few incidents from here and there and honestly, they are permanently etched in my mind. I
will probably never be able to get over them. Not in this lifetime.
There came a time when suddenly all the girls in my class unanimously decided to stop talking to me,
interacting with me. I was and am still not aware of the reason. And now it does not even matter.
But two things it did to me. One is it left me with an itching to crave closures. And second thing
is, that it gave me the confidence to do the right thing, and believe in myself, even if the whole
world goes against me. I am thankful for the second one, but the first one is not a virtue to be
appreciated.
I discovered the magic called female friendships only after I met a few angels after I embraced
motherhood. They are the ones who changed my perspective of female friendships. From discussing
outfits to sharing wishlists, from judging people together to ranting and bitching, everything is so
smooth with my female friends. And women need to be connected socially. The kind of network women
cultivate makes life easier. You gather the strength to bounce back from rock bottom too, such is
the bond. I am not exaggerating, it's tried and tested. If you have not experienced it yet, you have
not come across the right set of women. Keep searching
